Hi.

Welcome to The Culture Thesis. Let's talk pop culture.

14 Couples Who Are Never Allowed To Break Up

14 Couples Who Are Never Allowed To Break Up

It's Valentine's Day, and everyone is celebrating love. Well maybe not everyone, but a lot of people are. And The Culture Thesis is one of them.

I created a list of 14 celebrity couples who are never allowed to break up. I won't go as far as saying if they broke up I would lose faith in love, but I would definitely pour a glass of wine and listen to Mary J Blige in the dark out of sadness.

This list is in no particular order. In fact, I moved people around so you can't see what's coming next.

1. Ayesha and Steph Curry

They're incredibly cute and have been together forever. They have the cutest little girls. They have handshakes. You can just tell they're friends. And yeah, they're a bit corny but all good relationships are.

2. Michelle and Barack Obama

I don't often like to say #Goals when it comes to relationships I don't know personally, but #GOALSSSSSSSSS. Former (ugh) President Obama loves him some Michelle. They are incredibly smart and accomplished, down to earth, funny, romantic and everything you hope you get in a package when you decide to marry someone.

3. Keyshia Ka'oir and Gucci Mane

Hood love is real af. And Keyshia and Gucci are hood. She held him down while he was in jail and he proposed not too long after getting out. Watch them on Snapchat and you'll understand exactly why they're on this list.

4. Jhene Aiko and Big Sean

Jhene and Big Sean are cute, yes. But they're mostly on this list because a breakup would mean no more Twenty88, and I love their music too much to have that happen. I need this to last forevaaaaa (Cardi B voice).

5. Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith

I was watching Taraji P. Henson's Christmas special, where Jada Pinkett Smith was a presenter. And when she came out Will Smith was immediately on his feet clapping loud and proud. She hadn't even done anything yet. And he does that often. The love and the respect the two of them have for each other is obvious and beautiful.

6. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Over the past year, I have fallen in like so much with this couple that I TOO am in a relationship with them. I am constantly watching their Real Housewives commentary on Snapchat, or scrolling through their instas with that beautiful baby of theirs, or listening to John croon about how much he loves on her on his latest album, or even laughing at Chrissy's tweets about him. They are just so perfectly cute together. And I want to be able to watch or listen to that forever.

7. Beyonce and Jay Z

So I've finally got to the "All Night Long" phase of Lemonade with Jay. He is forgiven. They are a power couple. She clearly loves him and he loves her. Look at his eyes when she's performing and they'll say all you need to know. I love when they reference each other in their songs. I love seeing them as a family. I love when Jay Z plays photographer for her Instagram photos. They're truly a unit.

8. Remy Ma and Papoose

We often here how women need to hold men down when they go to jail, but never see it the other way. Papoose showed us what that looks like. He put his career on hold to make sure she was good while she was away. Their freestyle battles are ones for the books. They're the best thing about Love and Hip Hop. And they're just dope.

9. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Kristen and Dax are, first and foremost, hilarious together. They're incredibly supportive of each other and real about their day to day. You can tell that they have genuine fun in their relationship. And whenever they're working together, whether on commercials or their own projects, it's a slam dunk. They're chemistry is real and they play off each other well. They were made for each other.

10. Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance

When Courtney B. Vance hopped on the stage to accept his win for Best Supporting Actor, and screamed "To the woman that rocks my chain" (which funny enough is a line from a member of the #7 couple) I died. Sterling Brown had said it first, but the energy that Courtney said it was everything. Angela and Courtney are very lowkey, but when you do get to see them together or see them talk about each other, it's royal. They've been together 20 years, and it's beautiful.

11. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

Neil and David are cute on so many levels. First of all, every Halloween I look forward to seeing what family outfit they're doing with their twins. It's always incredible. Second, if you ever get a chance to watch Neil Patrick Harris' 73 Questions Vogue video, do. They're super cute in it. They have a chest of drawers at the front of their house so guests can get a mini present every time they leave. And the love is just so real you can see it radiating from the both of them.

12. Amal and George Clooney

George shocked the world by marrying Amal. She wasn't his usual type, which was blonde supermodels. She is absolutely gorgeous, but she is also incredibly smart and talented and caring and too good for George Clooney (no worries he said it himself). Did I mention she's taking ISIS to court? Too good for George Clooney. But since she's come in, George seems to be even an even better entertainer, looker and overall human being.

13. Joanna and Chip Gaines

I loveeeeee me some HGTV and Joanna and Chip are two big reasons why. I can watch them all day long. They're charismatic but very real. They're family dynamic is one to really look to. They really seem to encourage each other to be better and have got the whole partnership thing down.

14. Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

One of the best things I've ever done in my social media life is follow these two on Snapchat. You have to follow the both of them because they show one situation from both of their views, and it's always good fun. They pick on each other. She very clearly loves his kids. They complement each other. It just works, and if they broke up, my Snapchat would be upset.

Is there a couple I've missed here? Let me know in the comments below.
