Woman Crush Wednesday: Lilly Singh

Woman Crush Wednesday: Lilly Singh

Every Wednesday, I want to take the time to show some love to a woman who's killing it in one way or another. This is the first in that series.

Lilly Singh, also known as Superwoman, is a YouTuber and a pretty big deal. She has billions of views on YouTube, over 9 million subscribers, and has made movie and musical appearances all over the place, including the recent movie Bad Moms. She also recently launched her own lipstick with Smashbox called Bawse. And that's not even all of it.

So why is Lilly my woman crush today?

She just came out with an amazing song and video called "Voices," which I placed above. The song talks about something we all go through, which is having different voices with different personalities playing in our head. In the video she displays five. One voice is cocky and focuses on her accomplishments (and can I say TALK THAT ISH LILLY LET 'EM KNOW). The second voice carries more self-doubt and worry about her accomplishments. The third voice is sexy and in control while the fourth says "I'm not sexy. I'm goofy." The fifth voice is focused on social justice and wow. She covers Black Lives Matter, Islamophobia, feminism, homophobia, and fighting AIDS in ONE verse.

Voices is flawless and perfect. You will see every reason why you need to be following this girl. You'll completely understand why I'm in love. And I think you'll fall in love too.
