Raven-Symone Doesn't Exist to Me Anymore

Raven-Symone Doesn't Exist to Me Anymore

Starting today, I consider Raven- Symone a child star who retired and is rarely seen in the public eye.

After more than a year of constant stupidity dripping from her mouth, I've decided that I am no longer willing to deal. I will no longer read articles or watch videos where Raven-Symone spouts hatred against the communities she likes to pretend she doesn't belong to. I will no longer watch these videos and take a deep sigh. The deep sigh representing frustration because she used to be my fave.

As a child, I loved The Cosby show, and Olivia was my favorite character. My favorite episode is an Oliva storyline, the episode where Rudy had a dream that Olivia was taking over the house. I watched Hanging With Mr. Cooper soley for Raven. That's So Raven was my everything. Any movie with her in it, I went to see. I still have every magazine where she's on the cover or featured. I. Bought. Her. Albums. I'm going to repeat that one more time for the people in the back. I bought her albums. I was one of the 10 people in the world who spent money on BOTH That's So Raven soundtracks, This Is My Time, and her self-titled album Raven-Symone. I didn't even really like the music. I could not sing you one single song today. But I was 13. This was my fave. And she was great, so I supported her.

I was a Raven fanatic. Raven didn't get caught up like Lindsay Lohan did. Raven was safe and hilarious. Whenever friends and I talked about child stars, I would always say that Raven-Symone is the only sane one.

But oh how how the tides have turned.

Raven-Symone is now the poster child for dumb. 98% of what she says is dumb. I've been holding on to memories of the old Raven, but she is gone. And I am done. Finished. Checking out. Over it.

So the next time Raven-Symone says something amazingly moronic, my reply will be something like this.

Goodbye Raven.
